People have to trust me over Rashford – Ten Hag
Ajax manager Erik ten Hag believes that people should trust him over Manchester United player Marcus Rashford when it comes to making decisions about team selection.
Ten Hag, who has been praised for his tactical acumen and ability to develop young players, has received criticism for leaving out Rashford from the starting lineup in a recent match.
“I understand that people may have their doubts, but ultimately, I am the one who knows what is best for the team,” said ten Hag.
The manager went on to explain that he values teamwork and discipline, qualities which he feels Rashford may not consistently display on the pitch.
“I have to make tough decisions for the benefit of the team, and if that means leaving out a talented player like Rashford, then so be it,” added ten Hag.
Despite the backlash, ten Hag remains confident in his abilities as a manager and insists that his decisions are in the best interest of Ajax.
He also emphasized the importance of earning the trust and respect of his players, regardless of their reputation or status.
“I have a vision for this team and I will do whatever it takes to see it through, even if that means making unpopular decisions,” stated ten Hag.
As Ajax continues to compete in various competitions, including the Champions League, ten Hag’s leadership and decision-making will be put to the test.
At the end of the day, the manager believes that the results will speak for themselves, and that people will eventually come to trust his judgment over Rashford.
